Hilla Shamia has designed these benches and stool/tables from wood and cast aluminum. Mixing rustic and industrial. Pretty neat I’d say!

How sexy is this barware by Michael Antrobus? It’s just made out of 1 flat piece of stainless steel, and a few twists and turns later, and only 1 single weld to keep it all together…voila! Now the only question is…how easy is it, really, to uncork a bottle with this thing.

I absolutely love London designer Phil Cuttance‘s Faceture project. He has built a machine to cast faceted vases, lamps, and the list goes on. It consists of pouring a water-based resin into a simple mould which hardens as it dries. If these images weren’t pretty enough, there’s is a video! Click HERE to see it, it’s so much fun!

Today’s covet are these large tilting bowls designed by Staffan Holm, a Swedish multi-faceted designer. These will be featured at the Furniture Fair in Stockholm in February.

I’m surprisingly loving this graphically stunning tableware by CTRLZAK art an design studio for Italian brand Seletti. The inspiration here is the bridging of traditional chinese porcelain and European design aesthetic. Why not? It works! It’s sweet, hip, and with it.

Check out these beautiful glass jar pendants, available from West Elm. Drool, i love. Short pendants and tall pendants both $99.00, and comes in a grey or sea green glass. Antique glass jars that glow softly with an industrial feel that we’ve been seeing everywhere these days. A bunch of these could make a really nice statement!

I love these vases designed by Decha Archjananun. Beautiful concrete vases support wire frames used to support your top heavy plants and flowers. Simple and lovely.

Here’s a guest post from Design Shuffle on stools by Joanna Salinas – because who doesn’t love those? So versatile. Enjoy!

Stools come in a huge range of sizes and shapes and functions.  These workhorses can be used for seating and in some cases, as small tables.  Versatile small stools are easy to move around a room or the house as needed. Counter height stools provide added seating in a kitchen, but this doesn’t mean they have to be boring.  Here are eight stunning stools that combine function and beauty and are sure to inspire many interior design ideas.

These fantastic patterned stools are a DIY project with wallpaper.  Think of them as inspiration to cover any wood stool in a bright, patterned wallpaper to turn a stool from functional to stunning. Straight lines will make the project easier or just the seat could be covered in wallpaper or fabric for a gorgeous new look.

A different type of stool, these alabaster garden stools by Belle Chase Home look like sculpture. Great for extra seating or small side tables.

This pair of stunning stools is vintage Danish modern, designed by Henry Rosengren Hansen in the 1950s, and perfect for any kitchen design. Look for vintage stools with clean, modern lines to capture this look.

Carved from a single block of oak, the Tonus stool by Aldo Bakker, is gorgeous—so sinuous and sculptural.

These spool shaped stools are designed by Italian brothers, Francesco and Marco Gilla, for their Bottega Montana studio. Available in natural or bright, sherbet pastels.

The Flow stool by Kenneth Young has great flowing lines created with bentwood. This is a beautiful wood stool. This one is sure to give you quite a few decorating ideas

The Henry stool by Alexandre Reignier is a beautiful mix of wood and metal. Recalling the wood slat bench by George Nelson, the Henry stool has a classic modern feeling to it.

The Avo stool is only a prototype (for now) but the simple lines and colors are fantastic. Designed by Rul Alves’ My Own Super Studio.
